"I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair!" In 1978 Jaquie was 13 and mad about the Beatles, but surrounded by the punk explosion. "I missed the beginning of the punk revolution because I was living in America. I didn't like punk at first, but it started to grow on me. My favourite punk band was the Undertones." She has entered local songwriting competitions - awards include a Judges' Recommendation for 'The fox hunt'. She had a successful feature night at the St Denys Folk Club in February 2004, performing her own songs and a couple of covers, accompanying herself on guitar and 'cello (not at the same time, of course!).

Jaquie Daniels is based in Southampton,
and is a regular attender at the St Denys Folk & Blues Club, where she can be found performing her own songs and harmonising
enthusiastically to everyone else's! Jaquie and her husband Steve also put appearances in at other folk clubs in the area (see links page opposite for details).
Jaquie has a CD available entitled 'Nouvelle'. It features

'Perfect days' is also available as a 4-part arrangement for SATB choir. Jaquie has also written a few contemporary ensemble pieces which have been performed at workshops and concerts in Southampton.
